Making DeFi Accessible with Deepr
Deepr wanted to provide a user-friendly and intuitive experience for users who may not have prior experience with DeFi protocols. We rose to the challenge and created a desktop and mobile compatible platform that makes it easy for new users to engage with DeFi.
Executive Summary
The digital wallet space was plagued by complex and unintuitive interfaces that made managing digital assets a challenge for users, particularly newcomers to the world of cryptocurrencies. I oversaw support of the Firefly wallet team to produce a seamless and user-friendly experience that surpassed existing offerings.
By focusing on creating an intuitive and user-friendly product, Firefly Wallet could cater to both experienced users and newcomers to the crypto space, making managing digital assets more accessible for everyone.

My role
The team comprised of 3 UX designers and 1 UI designer, each of whom brought their unique skill sets to the table. I oversaw and led the team, taking full ownership and provided direction to the design process. I was responsible for overseeing and finalising all major UI and UX decisions, ensuring that each element was consistent with the overall design objective.
Onboarding
One of the key initiatives that I spearheaded was outlining and refining the onboarding process. This involved working closely with the development team to ensure that the onboarding process was intuitive and user-friendly. Research was undertaken to understand pain points and areas of improvement, and used this information to make data-driven design decisions. Additionally, I regularly collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure that the design was consistent with business goals and objectives.

Sending and managing assets
Firefly Wallet features a simple and intuitive interface for sending and receiving IOTA tokens, with clear instructions and visual cues to guide users through the process. The dashboard provides clear information about account balances and transaction histories, making managing digital assets simple.
NFTs
Firefly Wallet supports NFTs with a seamless user experience for viewing, exchanging, and securely managing these assets. The wallet has a dedicated home for NFTs, with clear and concise information about each one and easy-to-use tools for viewing and storing.
Staking
Firefly Wallet includes an easy-to-use staking interface, providing clear information about the rewards and risks associated with staking. This allows users to easily earn passive income by supporting the underlying blockchain network.
Governance
Firefly Wallet lowers the barrier to participation in governance decisions by providing an intuitive and user-friendly interface for voting and decision-making. Users can make voting decisions in an anonymous and decentralised way. This helps to empower the IOTA community overall to take charge of decision-making.
